West Thumb Geyser Basin

July 9th, Our day drive is to West Thumb Geysers. We pack a lunch for a picnic along the way. The geyser has a boardwalk all around the area as the ground is very fragile and is still cooking under us. This is a mile walk around the area along the lake and land too. The colors are outstanding. The heat also is very Hot and steamy also at some spots. The Ranger gives a talk on geysers along the way at a turnout point. The temperature today is 93* outside, time for the air conditioned truck (g).
On the way back we see 3 Elk along the road, there are many people here taking pictures too. I see a 10 point and also a 12 point Elk all in velvet yet. They just keep eating ignoring the crowd.
     Here are some pictures.... enjoy...
  God Bless... AirstreamHobo & Mom
